CCS accepts students that turn 3-years olds by November 30 and who are potty-trained into our school year program. We accept students who are 2 years old into our year round program.
All lead teachers must have a Bachelor’s Degree minimally and an ACSI Certification.
Yes. CCS is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and AdvancED. The School is also a member of the Virginia Council of Private Educators (VCPE).
In Early Education the ratio does not exceed 10 to 1; Elementary 1:22; and Middle School 1:18.
Yes, K-8 students all wear uniforms. These may be obtained through the uniform exchange on campus or purchased at Flynn O’Hara, French Toast and Lands’ End.
Early Education attends 8:00 a.m. – 12 noon, 8:00 a.m. – 3:10 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Elementary attends 8:20 a.m. – 3:10 p.m. Middle School attends 8:00 a.m. – 3:20 p.m. Morning carpool (K-8th only) begins at 8 a.m. and afternoon carpool begins at 3:15 p.m.
CCS does not offer transportation to & from school. However, the Transportation Department has a fleet of vans and buses for field trips and athletic events.
We offer need-based financial aid on a first-come, first-served basis. Financial aid applications must be submitted by May 1. Financial aid applications cannot be considered without submitting an student application.
Two payment plans are available to students enrolled prior to July 1 of the start of the school year. Payment plans allow for one time annual payment or eleven payments (July – May) equal payments. There is no discount for paying the tuition upfront.
All prospective K-8 parents interview with the School Principal or attend a Family Orientation. In addition, the birth certificate, immunization, letter of recommendation, and transcripts are required for admissions.
We require all families to pay a one-time payment payable in July with the 1st tuition payment. This fee is in lieu traditional fundraising such as candy and wrapping paper sales. The Horizon Fee is used to ensure CCS stays on the cutting edge. The funds have been used to purchase a new bus and build an indoor play area, to name a few.
Yes. We offer a 5% discount for the 2nd student's tuition and 10% off the 3rd child's and subsequent child's tuition.
No. CCS follows the State of Virginia Kindergarten requirements which states a child must be 5-years old by the September 30th to enroll in Kindergarten.
Yes. CCS offers Camp Catamount, a summer camp program, for children 3-years to rising 4th graders. Camp Catamount runs from June through August. In addition, sport and academic camps are available.
No. All Early Education Programs are 5-days per week. Though not recommended, a parent can chose to bring their child 3-days per week. However, the tuition is the same as the 5-days per week Program.
